Zia Book Award. Women writers living in New Mexico are invited to submit books for consideration for the Zia Award, given each year by NMPW at the annual spring conference. Each year the award rotates to one of three categories: children’s literature, non-fiction and fiction.

      —The third annual New Mexico Women Authors’ Book Festival (NMWABF) benefiting the Museum of New Mexico Foundation opens Friday, October 1 and runs through Sunday, October 3, , 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the New Mexico History Museum.
